Stoke Park Hotel

"This beautiful estate perfectly blends character with modern luxury."

Buckinghamshire, England

Stoke Park Hotel is set on an astonishing 330-acre site a mere 35 minutes from London and 7 miles from Heathrow, set right in the heart of Buckinghamshire’s greenbelt. The estate itself is Grade II listed and was designed by James Wyatt in 1788. It is an extremely famous property from the film screens having been in Bridget Jones, Layer Cake, Goldfinger and Tomorrow Never Dies.

There are 49 bedrooms in total with 21 in the Mansion and 28 within the Pavilion. Bedrooms include Mansion Rooms which are full of English charm and traditional furnishings, solid wood furniture, marble bathrooms with roll top baths and luxurious Pecksniff toiletries. The Pavilion Bedrooms and Suites have a much more modern feel. Each room has a mini-bar, tea/coffee facilities, adjustable mood lighting, air conditioning, HD TV’s and marble bathrooms with heated flooring.

There are three main restaurants in the hotel. Humphry’s is the fine dining Restaurant where you will find a la carte menus as well as a 3-course dinner menu offering modern British cuisine with a twist. There is also a mouthwatering tasting menu available. The decor is stunning with panoramic views over the estate, lake and beyond. San Marco is a relaxed, casual Italian brasserie with an array of classic dishes, smoothie specialties, and alfresco dining when the weather allows and The Orangery offers a great selection of delicious meals and of course, traditional English Afternoon Teas.

To keep your golf game up to scratch, there is a full-length driving range, short game area, and bunker zone to play along with a large putting green and state of the art swing studio. There is a Pro Shop with some of the world’s best brands available and a team of PGA Professionals on hand to help as well as offer tuition. The stunning Clubhouse has a beautiful backdrop with a lake in front and trees in every direction the eye can see.

Encircling the club’s 330-acre Buckinghamshire parkland estate is the famous 27-hole Championship golf course. Created in 1908 by golf Architect Harry Colt, the Stoke Park course has been an inspiration for many of the world’s most famous holes and is well worth experiencing while staying on property. The Halfway House is where you can stop off for your 10-minute break interval and is well worth the sojourn.

The Spa is located in the Pavilion. This is a real haven of peace, offering an indoor heated swimming pool, changing rooms with Italian marble steam rooms, deep relaxation room, a private atrium with a 5-meter tropical aquarium, outdoor Scandinavian sauna and hot tub, nail bar, boutique, and surface tennis court.

All told, this beautiful estate with a history dating back 900 years perfectly blends character with modern luxury and is a perfect base in the southeast of England.
