Kingsmills Hotel and Kings Club

"A fabulous four-star luxury hotel."

Inverness, Scotland

The Kingsmills Hotel is a fabulous four-star luxury hotel located just on the outskirts of Inverness. The original house was built in the late 1700s and was home to William Inglis, the Provost of Inverness, but it wasn’t until 1946 when that property was converted into a hotel. Set in the beautiful Scottish Highlands Kingsmills offers a variety of luxurious rooms, impeccable dining options, and good old-fashioned Scottish hospitality.

All rooms within the Kingsmills hotel are spacious and modern with a cozy home from home feel. Room types include; Classic, Classic 1785, Patio, Luxury, Family, Garden, and Kings Club.

Classic Rooms are very comfortable with a television, Wi-Fi, a safe, tea/coffee making facilities and room service. The 1785s pays homage to the fact the hotel has been part of Inverness’s history since that date, and these rooms are large and have the addition of fluffy slippers and mineral water; a few home comforts. Patio rooms boast private access to the beautiful gardens offering a private patio with large glass doors that connect the indoors to the outdoors. These rooms have a terrace with garden furniture for guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Luxury Rooms include additional premium features such as air conditioning, soft cotton sheets, fluffy towels and bathrobes, and Garden Rooms are located within the beautifully manicured gardens giving you your garden furniture and patio area to discuss the day’s round with a nice cold drink. These rooms also benefit from soaking rain showers.

In a separate building are the King’s Club Rooms. These have a more modern and fresher feel and include a mini bar, turndown service, welcome plate, and a welcome dram.

For dining options, there are two beautiful restaurants. The Conservatory Restaurant is perfect for lunch and dinner with a warm, intimate atmosphere and has the benefit of lots of natural light. The Inglis Restaurant is located in the 18th Century building of the Kingsmills. The menu here combines traditional Scottish dishes with more contemporary creations, and there is also a fabulous choice of fine wines and whiskeys to compliment your meal.

Kingsmills is also home to a Spa with beautiful views of the surround Scottish Highlands. Spa packages, massage treatments and a significant number of leisure facilities are also all on offer. There are three fully equipped treatment rooms offering a wide range of massages including a dedicated sports massage that can come in very handy after a challenging day on the golf course.
There are five golf courses in very close proximity to Kingsmills making it a perfect base for Scottish Highlands golf vacation itinerary. These courses are Castle Stuart, Royal Dornoch, Nairn Golf Club, Inverness Golf Club, and Nairn Dunbar.
