Inverlochy Castle Hotel

"Inverlochy Castle is a truly stunning building."

Torlundy, Fort William, Scotland

The 19th Century Inverlochy Castle is a truly stunning building, known as one of Scotland’s finest Country hotels. Nothing has been left to chance here, with the utmost attention to detail covered. Built in 1863, the hotel is steeped in history and is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty – the falls of Glen Nevis, the monument at Glenfinnan and the mountains of Glencoe are all within a short distance from the Castle.

Inverlochy has a total of seventeen individual and characterful bedrooms and suites boasting views of the stunning grounds and private loch. All of the bedrooms include 40” televisions with some having free standing claw foot baths, four-poster beds or half canopy beds disguised as mirrors. There are plush sofas, radio, Wi-Fi, luxurious Peter Reed 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen and Inverlochy Castle bespoke range of Penhaligon’s Quercus toiletries.

There is a two-bedroom Gate Lodge located at the entrance of the property which is only a three-minute walk from the hotel. This includes a double and single bedroom, a bathroom, shower room, and separate living room. The kitchen includes a fridge, toaster, kettle, and microwave. There is no cooker as breakfast is served in the hotel.

Albert and Michael Roux Jr at Inverlochy Castle is an unforgettable culinary experience. The legendary father and son duo lead the kitchen brigade ensuring that only the most exquisite dishes are produced. There are three beautiful dining rooms in which to enjoy their food – each one of them follows an elaborate decor pattern, with, amongst other items, furniture gifted from the King of Norway. The menu is fresh, with modern British cuisine combining with strong French influences. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant has AA 3 Red Rosettes awarded for its exceptional standards.
Enjoy golf at the many excellent Highland courses located very closely to Inverlochy. There is Fort William which sits just at the foot of Ben Nevis with the 6th being labeled one of the finest Par 3 ‘s in Scotland.

Other activities include white water rafting, mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting, off-road driving, climbing, hunting, fishing, and country pursuits. The Ben Nevis Distillery is under two miles away.

This is a special place set amongst the beautiful Scottish West Highland scenery and nestled in glens, lochs, and mountains.
