The property is ideally situated on the edge of Portrush, just a matter of minutes away from Royal Portrush Golf Club, host of the 2019 Open Championship. There are four beautifully presented bedrooms The Portandoo, Ramore, Portneen, and Portscadden bedrooms all named after local north coast ports. All four rooms are tastefully decorated in subdued tones reminiscent of the coastal town that they are in, with local artwork, period furniture, and King-sized beds. The Portandoo Room has a private bathroom located on the landing of the property while the other three are all en-suite. There are three different lounge areas for guests to enjoy, relax, read or converse in, The Drawing Room, The Snug and The Balcony. A stunning balcony at the rear of the property overlooks Portrush town and the Harbour and is a perfect place to relax and unwind as the sunsets.
Nicola is also a fantastic cook and breakfast at Blackrock is a special treat with all of the local deli favorites mixed with the Northern Irish staple – an Ulster Fry – a cooked breakfast, with all the trimmings, a local specialty. However, as golfers are regular clients at Blackrock, Nicola is happy to organize ‘to-go’ bags for early tee times or a snack for mid-round on request. Furthermore, Blackrock House will happily store pre-shipped golf clubs until guests arrive and they can also provide a dry-store for clubs should the need arise as well as washing and drying facilities also.
