"Waterville House staff go above and beyond with a generous and warm sense of Irish hospitality."

Waterville, Co. Kerry, Ireland

Waterville House is an attractive 18th Century Georgian Manor House facing the Wild Atlantic Way, with beautiful views across Lough Currane on its eastern perimeter. The Currane River runs through the 50-acre estate as it flows onwards into Ballinskelligs Bay.

The Butler Family originally built the Manor House in 1790, and the estate was named Waterville. The house has 12 bedrooms, and a private Tom Fazio designed practice facility. Guests can enjoy preferential tee times at the iconic Waterville Golf Links and enjoy access to fishing the famous Butler’s Pool and private rivers and lakes. Waterville Golf Links is one of the oldest Irish clubs in Ireland, rated among the top 5 in the country and the top 20 links courses in the world, the course is highly acclaimed, both nationally and internationally, and by a host of some of the world’s leading professionals.

Waterville House is only 400 meters from the beach and a short stroll from the village. Waterville is a small village with a burgeoning seasonal population much of which is driven by golf what with the area being most famed for its two golf courses; Waterville Golf Course and the recently constructed Hogs Head.

This authentic hostelry is full of historic charm and is the perfect complement to the Links. All 12 bedrooms are named after famous golf course architects, and the rooms are very comfortable and spacious with excellent beds and crisp white linens. The bathrooms are very modern and feature stunning tiling, fixtures, and fittings throughout.

There are many communal rooms with a comfortable lounge with an honor bar overlooking the salmon stream and the Atlantic Ocean, the perfect spot for golfers to relax post-round. There are a gym, a Billiard Room and a formal dining room for breakfast. There is even a den with a screen continuously displaying the view from an underwater cam positioned in the nearby river and a drying room should your clothing get wet during your round of golf, or from your fishing exploits!

The Waterville House staff go above and beyond with a generous and warm sense of Irish hospitality; nothing is too much trouble, and this is a massive part of why people keep returning to stay at the fabulous Waterville House.
