Malone Golf Club Northern Ireland

  • January 10, 2020 // The Consummate Pro

Northern Ireland more than punches above its weight in the golfing world. From stunning hidden gems to world famous major championship venues it’s amazing how a country as small as this can produce so many quality golf courses.

We have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play some of the best golf courses on the island of Ireland. When it comes to Northern Ireland it’s easy to see why much of the attention circulates around Royal Portrush & Royal County Down. However, there is much more to golf in Northern Ireland than just ‘The Royal’s’. Malone golf club clubhouse

A perfect example is the stunning Malone Golf Club situated only 5 miles from Belfast city centre. When considering how many of our guests stay in Belfast during their visit to Northern Ireland it would be a shame to bypass Malone. As well as being a quality golf course, this area is one of the most naturally beautiful settings for golf in Northern Ireland. Settled on 330 acres of wooded parkland, Malone is a unique setting that offers its guests a comfortable and secluded golf haven within easy reach of the city.

Course:

The holes snake their way through beautiful mature trees, and its main feature, a trout lake that stretches across 25 acres, comes into play on key holes such as the 15th & then again on the finishing par 4, 18th.  Visitors will experience a great blend of fair but challenging holes with a host of variable length par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s.

Once the golf is taken care of, visitors can enjoy a clubhouse that boasts over a Century of tradition and character yet with a modern feel by way of a new extension overlooking the lake and the 18th green. This is the perfect setting for a post round meal and pint to reflect upon what really is one of the highest rated parkland courses in Ireland.  If you want to play Malone, find out here why you should choose The Consummate Pro to organise your trip for you.
