Glenmoriston Townhouse

"A lively, unique city hotel with a quirky feel."

Inverness, Scotland

One of the most beautiful hotels in Inverness, the Glenmoriston Townhouse is only a short walk along the riverbank to the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is to be found on a riverbank terrace, amongst the tree-lined confines of Ness Bank. There are thirty bedrooms and three self-contained apartments onsite, many of which have superlative views of the River Ness.
A good night’s sleep is always on the menu at Glenmoriston, with all rooms providing Egyptian cotton bed linen and luxurious pillows and duvets. Rooms consist of single, comfort double/twin, club double, deluxe river view and luxury apartments.

Single rooms and comfort double/twin are ‘snug’ but contain all the amenities guests require with complimentary Wi-Fi, tea/coffee, bottled water, TV, slippers, bathrobes and Gilchrist and Soames toiletries. Luxury double/twin rooms as these offer more space; if still on the small size, they more than makeup for it with stunning river views.

Our preference at The Consummate Pro is to opt for Club doubles which have Nespresso machines, walk-in showers and separate baths with the Deluxe River View rooms offering king size beds or twin a desk and chairs giving a bit more room to expand. Guests can also indulge on sweetie jars and golf putting green to add to the quirkiness and fun nature.

If the home away from home feeling is more your thing, then try the luxury apartments with one or two bedrooms. These are very stylish with superfast broadband, fully fitted kitchens, living and dining rooms. The apartments contain all the amenities of the rooms, but the style and layout give you the privacy and comfort of your own serviced apartment with a luxury four-star hotel in the backyard.
Food is available in the award-winning ‘Contrast Brasserie’ which is an independent family run restaurant offering delicious cuisine from the best local produce. The Lonely Planet Guide lists this restaurant as one of the best value eateries in Inverness. Dishes are simple but perfectly constructed giving an authentic taste of Scotland.

The Whisky and Piano Bar is a contemporary and stylish setting with a marble and oak-paneled interior. The bar pays homage to Scotland’s national drink and is home of Inverness’s most extensive whisky collection. Whisky ambassadors will help you choose from all 260 of them or a significant range of gin or cocktails if they are more to your liking.

The Glenmoriston is a lively, unique city hotel with a quirky feel but it still manages to pull off an ambient, personal feel. The hotel is ideally situated to access some of Scotland’s best golf courses within very close proximately including Castle Stuart, Nairn Golf Club, and Royal Dornoch.
