Castle Leslie is situated in the Irish countryside of County Monaghan only 60 minutes from Belfast and 80 minutes from Dublin. Located in over 1,000 acres, the Castle has nestled away in a beautiful estate making it feel a million miles away from the outside world. It is one of the last Irish Castle Estates still in the hands of its founding family, as since the 1660s the distinguished Leslie family have lived on the Estate. The Castle is the beating heart of the Estate and is full of authentic, original interiors and old world charm and hospitality. The Lodge is the social hub and the Old Stable Mews, and Village Cottages offers guests privacy.

There are 20 variations of rooms within the Castle each with its own name and unique character. The Blue Master Room, for example, acquired its marvelous deep blue color from Lady Leonie Leslie, before she later moved into the Mauve Room. , and there are panoramic views of the beautiful lake and landscaped gardens. Guests will enjoy a canopy bed and many original features such as a fireplace coupled with stunning views and an incredible bath with overhead shower like something straight out of Downton Abbey.

The Lodge has 29 bedrooms and a cut stone stable courtyard all of which has been sympathetically restored and utilizes many of the original features and oozes period charm. All bedrooms are spacious, and some offer balconies overlooking the Equestrian Centre courtyards. There and Classic and Superior Bedrooms and Jigsaw Junior Suite.

The Jigsaw Junior Suite is a one of a kind with its own private entrance into the Lodge. Guests will enjoy a king size bed, LCD TV, sitting area and beautiful amenities. Set in the eaves of the building, the suite is dripping with original features and charm and the bathroom houses a stunning roll top bath, perfect after a tough day on the golf course.

The Old Stable Mews and Village Cottages offer a home from home experience with a mix or two, four and five-bedroom options. The village cottages have slate roofs, sliding sash windows, open fires, cut limestone, and salvage brick. A mere five-minute walk from the entrance to the Estate, these beautiful cottages are ideal for large groups.

Snaffles is a 2 AA Rosette award-winning restaurant situated on the first floor in the Lodge offering a light and spacious, relaxing atmosphere. The menu is made up of signature dishes cooked with locally sourced food and has a beautiful Irish flair. Alongside the food, the menu has an extensive gin collection with over 100 gins to accompany your meal or enjoy separately as an aperitif. Conor’s Bar at the Lodge is the ideal place to chill out with a pint. A traditional country pub feel with a casual atmosphere and perfectly prepared light bites.

If you are looking to relax at Castle Leslie, The Victorian Treatment Rooms is the place to go. With seven treatment rooms, a relaxation area and an outdoor hot tub overlooking the stables it is the perfect place to ease your tired muscles after a day on the course.

Equestrian pursuits make up a big part of Castle Leslie’s history, and personality and riders of all abilities can take part with expert tuition on the Estate. Other activities, including fishing, clay pigeon shooting, hot air ballooning, horse-drawn carriage rides, boating, cinema trips, and archery are also available.

There are many golf courses near Castle Leslie making it a fantastic base for your trip. Only 20 minutes away is Concra Wood Golf and Country Club, and you are only a mere hour drive to Co. Louth Golf Club at Baltray and an hour and twenty minutes to Royal County Down Golf Club.
